You will be responsible for independent verification of the Interventional Application as part of a regulated surgical robotics platform, ensuring safety, performance, and release readiness. It includes an opportunity to influence a high‑impact clinical product, collaborate with experts in robotics and image‑guided therapy, and grow within a global health‑technology organization. You’re part of the international R&D team, with a facility in Best, Netherlands and Cambridge, MA, USA. You will work alongside software architects & engineers, systems engineers, and test engineers developing the next generation of robotic therapy solutions.
Your role:
You own, develop, maintain, and execute the User-facing Application Software Verification Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory and quality requirements for a safety critical medical device UI.
You design, implement, and execute test cases (C++, Python); document, analyze, and report verification results, and support release readiness activities.
You perform independent verification of requirements implementation for a regulated GUI application, ensuring objectivity and compliance.
You operate robot hardware and Imaging system to support end to end software verification activities.
You provide verification support for performance testing, SOUP verification, and related applications
You design and maintain automated and semi‑automated test frameworks.
You support continuous improvement of verification methodologies, tools, and test coverage.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience as a software verification or test engineer, preferably in regulated medical devices or safety‑critical systems, working as an individual contributor.
Your skills include software verification planning, test design and execution, defect tracking, and requirements‑based verification; experience with GUI verification is required.
You have hands‑on experience with SW verification of C++ User Interface applications, python test frameworks, risk‑based verification, and verification traceability; experience with SOUP validation is a strong plus.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
You are able to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements for this position with or without accommodation.
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week to support hands‑on verification activities using robotic hardware and simulation environments.
