Are you ready to shape the future of industrial robotic systems?

Mujin is transforming how industrial robots perceive, plan, and execute work by bringing real-time intelligence to the factory floor through MujinOS, our hardware-agnostic, software-defined automation platform.
We are seeking a talented Robotics Application Engineer to join our European engineering team and contribute to next-generation logistics automation solutions. In this role, you will develop advanced spatial and packing algorithms that feed directly into MujinOS-powered robotic systems — enabling optimal container and bin utilization, smarter loading/unloading, and efficient warehouse workflows.

Position: Senior Robotics Application Engineer

Key Responsibilities

    • Commission and deploy robotic systems both in-house and at customer facilities, ensuring quality, reliability, and safety
    • Configure and integrate industrial robots, robot controllers, Mujin controllers, vision systems, sensors, tooling, and peripheral equipment
    • Drive setup of electrical, mechanical, and communication interfaces required for system operation
    • Act as the technical owner of assigned projects, managing configuration changes, documentation, and system readiness throughout the project lifecycle
    • Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver within scope, schedule, and budget
    • Support creation of proposals, bills of material, engineering estimation, and risk assessments
    • Identify, report, and mitigate technical and project risks; contribute to scope change evaluation and contract claims when needed
    • Work directly with customers during acceptance testing, closing open issues, and performance verification
    • Provide both on-site and remote technical support for deployed systems and troubleshoot integration issues
    • Mentor and guide technicians and less senior engineers during commissioning activities
    • Contribute to creation and improvement of internal tools, processes, and standard operating procedures

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
    • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics, electrical integration, or automation commissioning
    • Experience commissioning robotic systems and industrial automation equipment
    • Proficiency creating electrical schematics, reading specification sheets, and procuring appropriate components
    • Experience programming PLCs and safety controllers
    • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across teams and with customers
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to ~40% of the year
    • Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Nice to Have

    • 5+ years of relevant experience in robotics or automation deployment
    • Hands-on experience with multi-axis robot task creation, conveyors, sensors, and industrial tooling
    • Familiarity with Linux, Python, or additional automation software tools
    • Prior experience at a manufacturing, logistics automation, or robotics systems company
    • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices
    • Ambitious, proactive, and customer-focused mindset
