Role Summary
The Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is responsible for designing and developing
Pega applications under the guidance of the Lead System Architect (LSA). The CSSA plays a
key role in implementing business requirements, ensuring adherence to Pega best practices, and
delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Pega applications using Pega Platform (8.x or higher)
Implement case types, workflows, UI components, and business rules
Follow Pega guardrails, standards, and best practices
Collaborate with LSA and LBA to understand functional and technical requirements
Configure data models, data pages, and integrations
Develop and consume REST/SOAP services
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies
Support UAT, production deployment, and post-go-live activities
Document technical designs and configurations

Pega Skills
Pega CSSA Certification (mandatory)
Strong hands-on experience with:
o Case Management & Workflow
o Rule resolution & inheritance
o UI development (Sections, Harnesses, Cosmos)
o Data Pages, Report Definitions
Experience with Pega App Studio & Dev Studio
Technical Skills
Integrations\: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
Database\: Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server
Performance troubleshooting and optimization
Version control and deployment exposure
Agile/Scrum development experience
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Dutch Speaking - Optional
Good communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience
7–9+ years of overall IT experience
5+ years of hands-on Pega development experience
Experience in Banking / Manufacturing domain projects – Preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Pega Infinity / Cosmos UI, Constellation, Gen AI
Exposure to decisioning, robotics, or customer service applications
Domain experience (Banking, Manufacturing, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecom, etc.)
Experience in cloud or DevOps environments
