What you'll do

As a Production and Automation Engineer, you will help establish and scale Arc’s production capability in the Netherlands through the design and implementation of advanced automated manufacturing systems. You will directly enable efficient production onshoring into Europe. Your work will span from strategic planning and process monitoring, to executional, hands-on programming, and running precision fabrication tools, as well as developing bespoke manufacturing systems and tooling.

Responsibilities

Your core goal is to design and build automated production capability in the Netherlands.

• Design, build, and improve automated manufacturing systems for precision production.

• Develop monitoring and control systems that support process visibility, consistency, and performance.

• Integrate production equipment, tooling, and material flow into robust manufacturing workflows.

• Ensure process robustness, repeatability, uptime, and consistent quality across automated production steps.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at €45,000 to €60,000 per year.

• Travel compensation depending on your location. The position requires on site work in Groningen, Netherlands.

• 26 paid vacation days (20 plus ~6).

Essential Expertise

• Experience building and automating machines, tooling or assembly lines.

• Strong knowledge and practical skill in 5-axis simultaneous CNC machining, and machine hardware.

• Experience with 6-axis robotics and EoAT.

• Strong skills in CAD and 5-axis CAM.

• 5+ years of experience in the field.

• Part holding and pneumatics

• Manufacturing execution systems (MES)

• Real time operating systems (RTOS) and advanced kinematics

• Injection moulding (including EDM mould making)
